ICC Secretary General’s meeting with private sector economic organizations in Yazd province

The meeting of the secretary-general of the Iranian Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce with the private sector economic organizations of Yazd Province was held which was hosted by the Yazd Chamber of Commerce.

Mohammad Khazaei, Secretary-General of the Iranian Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Iran), elaborated on the programs of this committee at the meeting.

Referring to the role of the International Chamber of Commerce, Khazaei mentioned that this chamber is a very important international institution in the world and issues related to the development of standards and regulations facilitating trade, as well as training, arbitration and the settlement of commercial and economic disputes, are among its important responsibilities.

He emphasized that currently, 170 countries are active, and more than 40 million legal members, including banks, insurance companies, etc., and also the Iranian chambers of commerce, are members of it, and the ICC national committee has good cooperation with chambers of commerce across the country.”

The secretary-general of the ICC Committee stated: “One of the chambers with which we have good cooperation is the Yazd Chamber of Commerce, and so far, we have been able to define collaborations including educational issues to increase and improve the knowledge level of users and economic actors in legal and commercial fields.”

Khazaei clarified that the International Chamber of Commerce, within the scope of its duties, is at the service of the country’s chambers of commerce, and considering the capacities, knowledge, and insight we see in the Yazd Chamber, we are very optimistic about increasing cooperation.”

He also reviewed the structure of the ICC assembly in another part of his speech and explained its main tasks.

The development of international trade regulations, the settlement of economic disputes in international contracts, the provision of necessary information to economic enterprises, and bridging the knowledge gap between traders at the international level were among the issues that Khazaei referred to.

In this meeting, the private sector economic organizations of Yazd Province also discussed their concerns and the areas for greater cooperation between the International Chamber of Commerce and the organizations were examined.
