Signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Yazd Chamber of Commerce and the Iran-Germany Joint Chamber of Commerce took place during the joint meeting of the Yazd Chamber and the Iran-Germany Chamber

The joint meeting of the board of representatives of the Yazd Chamber of Commerce and the board of directors of the Iran-Germany Chamber of Commerce was held, hosted by the Yazd Chamber of Commerce.

During this meeting, while a memorandum of understanding was concluded between the Yazd Chamber of Commerce and the Iran-Germany Chamber of Commerce, it was decided that the Iran-Germany joint chamber of commerce desk would be inaugurated at the Yazd Chamber of Commerce.

At the beginning of this meeting, the president of the Yazd Chamber of Commerce, regarding the historical and extensive business relations between Iran and Germany, said that Iran and Germany have had extensive commercial and economic relations, and Yazd’s industries have benefited from this connection. In the meantime, the long-standing relationship between the Yazd Chamber of Commerce and the Iran-Germany Joint Chamber of Commerce has played a significant role in the development of these relations. Today, given the abundant capacities of both countries, there is an opportunity to elevate this cooperation to a new level.”

Mojtaba Dastmalchian added that one of our main priorities is to resolve the problems faced by traders of both countries. He believed that we must strive to remove these obstacles through consultation and close cooperation and make the path easier for commercial activities.

He emphasized: “Programs such as sending trade delegations are among the things that can help increase interactions and the exchange of experiences between traders of the two countries. These delegations offer an excellent opportunity to gain deeper insights into markets, identifying needs, and recognizing existing capacities.”

Dastmalchian described the opening of the Iran-Germany Joint Chamber of Commerce desk in Yazd as a major step towards strengthening economic cooperation and stated that this desk could provide a suitable platform for direct and continuous communication between traders and entrepreneurs of the two countries and act as a center for providing legal and commercial consulting services.

The Iran-Germany joint chamber will stand alongside the Yazd Chamber with all its capacities.

The president of the Iran-Germany joint chamber of commerce also described this meeting as the beginning of greater cooperation and said that we intended to increase communication with the provinces simultaneously with the start of the new board of directors’ term. Considering that Yazd is an industrial province and has introduced great entrepreneurs to the industrial community as one of our first destinations for expanding relations.

Shahin Asghari mentioned that the relations between Iran and Germany have always been friendly and close throughout history and political issues have not been able to affect the friendly and commercial relations between the two nations of Iran and Germany.”

He emphasized that today we are here to strengthen these relations together and expand the connection between Iranian and German industries. The Iran-Germany Chamber, as the oldest and largest joint chamber, will stand alongside the Yazd Chamber with all its capacities so that we can achieve our goals through joint cooperation.”

Seyed Faraz Jebeli, the CEO of Iran-Germany joint chamber of commerce, also described this meeting as a gateway to the start of greater cooperation and said: “It is a good opportunity to identify existing capabilities and capacities and plan for future collaborations.”

Jebeli also reviewed and explained some of the issues faced by Iranian economic actors in the field of communication with German traders and merchants.

At the end of the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Yazd Chamber of Commerce and the Iran-Germany Joint Chamber of Commerce to inaugurate the Iran-Germany Joint Chamber of Commerce desk in Yazd and expand cooperation.

It is worth mentioning that in this meeting, Mr. Jamili (member of the board of directors), Mr. Roghani Golpayegani (vice president), Mr. Weber (member of the board of directors of the Iran-Germany Joint Chamber of Commerce), and Ms. Ulrike (head of the economic section of the German Embassy) were also present virtually.
